Asif Villa, located in Nilambur, is a 2700 square foot modern residence that embodies a refined approach to contemporary architecture, where simplicity, materiality, and functionality come together seamlessly. The villa is characterized by its clean geometric volumes, crisp white surfaces, subtle grey textures, and carefully integrated natural materials. Warm wooden doors and window frames create a welcoming contrast against the neutral exterior palette, while dark stone cladding adds depth, texture, and visual character to the façade. Large glazed openings, sheltered verandas, and thoughtfully positioned projections allow the house to maintain a strong connection with its lush surroundings. The landscaped outdoor spaces, stone-paved pathways, and abundant tropical greenery further enhance the relationship between the built form and its natural setting, creating a home that feels both contemporary and connected to nature.

Located in the vibrant urban context of Kochi, this studio and experience centre is conceived as a contemporary workspace that brings together design, collaboration and everyday experience within a single, cohesive environment. The space balances a clean architectural language with warm timber surfaces, muted tones and carefully introduced accents, creating an atmosphere that feels both professional and inviting. Large glazed openings establish a strong visual connection with the street, while the interior is organised into distinct yet interconnected zones for work, interaction, display and relaxation. Rather than functioning merely as a workplace, the studio is designed as an extension of the practice itself an environment where ideas, materials and people continuously come together.

The project ultimately creates a workplace that feels more like an experience than a conventional office. The combination of natural textures, curated artwork, flexible work areas and strong visual connections gives the space its own distinct identity while maintaining a sense of openness and continuity. In the context of Kochi, the studio becomes a bridge between the city and the creative process—a place to work, meet, explore and experience design firsthand.
